PLANNING HONEYMOONS AROUND THE WORLD
While planning your wedding, don’t forget about the honeymoon! Many times, in order to get exactly what you want, such as the honeymoon suite at your chosen hotel, reservations need to be booked months in advance.
Here again, we suggest hiring a professional travel agency to assist with your honeymoon plans. They will have great suggestions, honeymoon packages and tour information that you may not be aware of otherwise.
Also, travel agents will usually share tips about how to get around in different countries, money exchange, things to do while there, etc. This is one trip you don’t want to go wrong, so its worth at least checking out their services.
TRAVEL TIPS FOR HONEYMOON, VACATION OR GETAWAY
If you choose to use a travel agency to book your trip, be sure to confirm all details in writing, obtain confirmation numbers and inquire when you should expect to receive any travel tickets or pre-purchased tour/show tickets.
If you are traveling out of your country, make sure all necessary passports are current. Check them months in advance, in case you need to order new ones and allow plenty of time for the issuing process. If you will be changing your name because you are getting married, make sure you have proper documentation supporting your identity or update your passport before leaving – check to see what rules apply to you.
Confirm with your credit card companies whether or not they have an exchange rate that applies to out of country purchases and if so, what it is. This may help you decide if you would rather travel with cash (especially traveler’s cheques) and use your credit cards for emergencies only. Keep in mind exchange rates for the dollar per country you visit and be aware of the difference, if any.
